This rename reflects our product direction of intelligent, autonomous systems for marketers. Agents represent a future where Profound doesn’t just run manual processes, but actively works alongside marketers as a true extension of their team.
The team behind Agents has shipped a slew of updates over the last month that unlock brand new capabilities for marketers.

We’ve introduced new Profound Data nodes inside Agents, making it incredibly easy to pull Profound’s best-in-class AEO data directly into content creation, optimization, reporting, and monitoring workflows. Instead of exporting reports, stitching together spreadsheets, or manually translating insights into actions, marketers can now turn AI visibility data into automated, repeatable execution.

Profound Agents now connect natively to WordPress and Sanity, turning your CMS into an active endpoint for automation. Learn more on CMS integrations via our blog.

With the Slack integration node, Profound Agents can now:
Send alerts when visibility or citation share changes
Notify teams when content is published or updated
Route drafts and outputs for review and approval
Keep stakeholders informed without manual status updates

The Conditional node unlocks even greater customization of Profound Agents, allowing users to branch an Agent’s outcomes depending on the value of certain criteria.
Version control
Users can see and restore previous published versions.
Users can see/navigate between nodes (and their settings) on each previous version.
Auto descriptions
Remove the manual step of writing a descriptions for your Agent. Let AI do the work, finding a description that fits all the nodes in your Agent.
Single node testing
You can now run individual nodes to test them in isolation. No need to execute the entire Agent to see results. Simply run a single node and iterate.
New LLM model configuration
Configure content variation to be more predictive or more creative, enable web search, and include system prompts.
Structured outputs in Prompt LLM node
Define a schema and receive consistent response formats, enabling reliable parsing for Agent automation.
Streaming outputs
When testing LLM nodes you can now see the output streaming in real-time, allowing for faster review of direction.
Full-view outputs
You can now expand outputs to full screen for greater clarity when reviewing.

New year, same ship speed from the product team at Profound. Today we’re highlighting two new features now available for all users within Enterprise accounts.
One of the most important questions in Answer Engine Optimization is simple but hard to address: which prompts actually matter to your brand?
Now, Enterprise users of Profound can answer that question using Brand Relevant Prompts, the newest feature inside the Prompt Volumes tab.
Brand Relevant Prompts surfaces the conversations where Answer Engines like ChatGPT chose to cite your brand's or your competitors' websites. For every prompt, see exactly which pages were cited alongside your owned content. Understand who you're competing against in each conversation and identify the pages that consistently appear in your category.
That means you can finally answer:
Which prompts are driving citations to your pages right now?
Which competitors appear alongside you in the same responses?
Where are competitors getting cited that you're not?

Brand Relevant Prompts are available today in Prompt Volumes for all users on Enterprise accounts. Self-serve account users are encouraged to reach out to our team for a demo.
Profound Workflows launched in public beta last month and provides a new automation layer for marketing teams that streamlines content operations built for the AI Search era.
As of this past Monday, Enterprise customers of Profound now have six new Workflows templates to further augment and automate best-in-class AEO strategies.

Automatically translates an article into a specified target language while preserving meaning, tone, and formatting. It enables fast, consistent localization for global audiences with minimal manual effort.
Analyze any YouTube video and automatically generate AEO-optimized titles and descriptions designed to increase visibility and improve citation likelihood across AI search engines.
Generate an AEO-optimized FAQ section for a Product Detail Page by identifying key product questions, inferred search intent, and relevant People Also Ask queries, then combining them with on-page product information to create clear, high-value FAQs designed for AI-driven search visibility.
Analyze a given article to produce clear, high-impact Answer Engine Optimization suggestions by leveraging our Content Optimization algorithm and relevant AEO insights.
Create a structured content brief from a target topic and user prompt. This workflow analyzes Google results, top-cited LLM sources, and existing brand content to produce a well-researched, writer-ready brief.
Generate an AEO + SEO Research Report that shows which keywords matter, what’s ranking on Google, and how AI systems answer the same query. The output gives you a fast, data-backed view of opportunities and gaps to act on immediately.
You can now run individual nodes to test them in isolation. No need to execute the entire workflow just to see results, simply run a single node and iterate.

The new Workflows templates mentioned above and the ability to test individual nodes are available today in Profound for all users on Enterprise accounts. Customers can reach out to our team or contact their Engagement Manager for a demo.
As always, please share your feedback. We’re actively listening, responding, and incorporating as we strive towards building the best solutions for your needs.

New

When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini a question, the model rarely “knows” the answer. Before these Answer Engines respond, they fan out the user’s prompt into multiple high-intent search queries, retrieve information from the web, and then synthesize everything into a final answer.
For example, if a user asks:
“Which business bank account is best for startups?”
The model might break this into queries like:
“best business checking accounts for startups 2025”
“online business banking comparison fees”
“startup bank account requirements”
This hidden step, the Query Fanout, determines which brands get pulled into AI answers, and which get left out.
Today, we’re making that process fully transparent.
You can now explore all query fanouts for the prompts you track in Profound through the new Query Fanouts page, designed to help AEO teams understand how Answer Engines interpret prompts and uncover the exact queries they use to research your category.
Read more on how to use the tab and interpret the data here.

In 2025, creating content without considering query fanouts is like doing SEO without knowing your keywords.
Answer Engines don’t simply evaluate a user’s question – they transform it into a set of richer, more targeted search queries. That’s what they actually use to decide which sources to cite.
If your content doesn’t rank for what the model searches, you won’t appear in what the user sees. We’ve written previously about how this works in practice in our breakdown of ChatGPT’s query fanout behavior.
At Profound, we analyze this behavior at scale, running millions of prompts through Answer Engines every day and capturing both the answers and the underlying fanouts. This gives AEO teams a first-of-its-kind window into:
How AI interprets user intent
What queries drive citations
Which modifiers matter most
Where content gaps and opportunities exist
With Query Fanouts, you can stop guessing how Answer Engines reason about your prompts and start optimizing for how they actually search. Get started by visiting Answer Engine Insights in your Profound dashboard.
